Chapter 29: Cuckold Slave 29 (End) (3)

Maybe she should just kill Xiang Yu.

She didn't have to wake up early originally.

But today there was an extra meeting requiring Qi Sui to arrive at the company half an hour early to prepare, indicating that her work was gradually getting on track.

Half-asleep, she rode her small bicycle to the company gate, clocked in while dozing. The worries and troubles of work made Qi Sui forget all the blushes and heartbeats from before, treating Xiang Yu as a target she needed to defeat, wildly cursing him under her breath.

Life was filled with repetitive trivial work and occasional sparks of joy.

No choice. She tidied her collar in front of the reflective surface, making herself look crisp and neat.

The elevator doors opened, and a well-dressed man stood inside. He nodded at her from the elevator, putting on that fake serious look again, and said lightly,

"Good morning, Ms. Qi."

So proper, as if he hadn't been grabbing her legs and wrestling last night. If she didn't know better, she'd think he was such a proper, rare man.

She stepped in unceremoniously, turned around, pressed the button for the 15th floor, and proudly ignored his greeting to express her dissatisfaction with his behavior.

The elevator was silent.

Unconsciously, she looked up, and her eyes met his.

Still the same—

As always, it seemed he had looked like this since the first time they met. His eyes had obvious curves, blurred lines, and the small freckles on his nose bridge were now very clear, to the point where she could point out their positions. His body was also beautiful; she had measured it inch by inch with the arc of her gaze, very pleasing to the mind.

As for his personality, it was a bit special.

It was a type Qi Sui had never encountered before.

A type that honestly laid everything out before her. Flaws and strengths were obvious, but when facing emotions, he could set aside the bad habits of being a man. He was the first man Qi Sui had met who didn't rely on his male advantages to occupy the high ground.

Dating, not bad.

Qi Sui nodded.

The man behind her suddenly spoke up:

"Ms. Qi, which school did you graduate from?"

Qi Sui turned around, surprised:

Haven't I answered that long ago?

But she still obediently told him her alma mater.

She saw the man before her smile, revealing a familiar, faint smile.

How to describe this smile?

It was a bit like the thin mist before sunrise, which, failing to catch the sunlight, appeared especially cold.

But it wasn't scary, because Qi Sui knew—

The sun would rise soon.

The man said,

"Me too, junior."

Qi Sui was stunned.

The elevator "dinged" as it opened.

Author's Note: And then they went woo-woo!

There should also be an epilogue to cover the rest—Suisui's attitude toward marriage, their past interactions, and a little bit about the supporting characters (nod nod). This story was a bit rushed, because I didn't write a very detailed chapter outline. My initial aim was to write about a strong man's chest muscles hehe. But the next story is much better; I've already written 30,000 words just for the outline...

I can't wait to write about the young master and the country girl. The setting is around the millennium, that kind of rustic yet addictive feel~
