"..."
Qi Sui was silent.
"Do you even know what you're saying?"
Xiang Yu stepped back, spreading his hands and leaning against the edge of the desk behind him. A large palm print was on his face, yet he didn't feel ashamed.
Tall and broad-shouldered, he blocked almost half the room's light, making it hard for Qi Sui to see his expression.
The man said: "I said, I want to upgrade, I want to be a homewrecker, I want to be despicable."
"Didn't you say I intruded into your marriage?"
"Fine," his misty eyes fixed on Qi Sui. "Then consider me intruding, starting now."
"You've already cursed me and hit me. Isn't it unreasonable to push me away when I want to be a homewrecker?"
Qi Sui finally understood.
Sometimes, Xiang Yu's silence was just because he didn't want to talk, not because he couldn't. On the contrary, when he really needed to express himself, he had一套套 of arguments to shut anyone up, including Qi Sui now.
"I don't need it," Qi Sui refused.
"I don't care if you need it or not," Xiang Yu stepped forward.
The too-close distance and too-large size difference gave Qi Sui a sense of oppression. She frowned, feigning confusion.
"I also didn't need a slap and an analysis of my despicable personality, but you gave it to me anyway."
He took a step, then remembered something and added: "Oh, and you inexplicably gave me the identity of a homewrecker, and one who climbs into a man's bed."
Qi Sui really wanted to draw back her arm and slap him again.
A decent person, why couldn't he listen to reason at critical moments?
"Whatever," Qi Sui looked up, seeing the minute hand on the clock had passed 4. She stood up and resumed her businesslike attitude. "Please review the documents sent by the Sample Factory this afternoon. If there are any issues, please contact me, and I'll communicate with them."
Xiang Yu turned around, roughly flipping through the documents on his desk. The data and content were recorded in detail, with occasional small, elegant handwriting at the top reminding him of missing information.
"I understand. I'll get back to you before 3 PM."
When it came to work, Xiang Yu could get into the zone every minute and every second.
But he still smiled at that line.
A person innately naive and casual could actually write such elegant handwriting, consistent for six years.
He wondered how much hard work she had put into it.
But as he looked, Xiang Yu's face turned cold again.
A woman innately naive and casual had stepped into a cruel, torturous marriage because of another man.
What he was unwilling to admit was—
During the time he was absent from her life, Qi Sui had truly given all her emotions to that unworthy man.
Managing the household, working tirelessly.
Becoming a flower drained of nutrients.
Withered, yet still beautiful.
What Qi Sui said wasn't actually wrong.
In fact, she had secretly done most of those shameful and despicable acts she mentioned.
Xiang Yu had never lied in front of Qi Sui.
Qi Sui nodded and was about to leave.
The man at the desk turned around and said in a businesslike, cold tone: "Ms. Qi, I suggest you'd better consider this matter."
"Revenge? To play with? Or to vent your sorrows—"
"It doesn't matter."
"Since I've already suffered a loss, according to my nature, I must get something in exchange."
"As for your marriage, shamefully speaking, if it were me, I would definitely retaliate."
"And you, Qi Sui, your moral sense is too high, you're too haggard, too pitiful. Those who hold onto feelings are usually the first to be let down, so you must become ruthless to completely step out of this unhealthy marriage."
"Ms. Qi, consider it."
"I recommend myself to be your next partner."
"Whether it's being a homewrecker as you said, or openly and fairly entering a romantic relationship, I'm ready at any time."
Qi Sui almost stumbled over his words and finally couldn't help cursing: "No consideration. I can't afford it."
The man raised his voice: "I have great fortune; I'll send you off."

Author's Note: To be honest, Boss Xiang didn't start off with this style. The original outline was more painful literature.
If it were the original outline, current Suisui would still be feeling sad, then be mocked by the scumbag haha. But I don't want to design too much of that—what's it called—female being rescued plot. It feels weird. I also don't want to write very cliché stuff, so this is fine now.
Boss Xiang is just saucy. He's a hypocrite, then eagerly rushes in. Interesting, interesting.
Next update tomorrow night at 11 PM. I'm going to eat now~
