Chapter 12 (2)

He liked Song Guanyu, perhaps much more than just like.

If Little Radish Head would leave him in the future, at least when she looked back on these days, she wouldn't regret it.

If that day really came, would he be willing to let her go...

Anyway, Song Guanyu deserved to be cherished. He hoped that person would be him.

Ye Yansheng got out of bed, his good figure fully visible. Song Guanyu's heart raced. He quickly put on his pajamas, turned to her and said, "I made breakfast. It's in the microwave. Heat it up before eating. I need to go to the hospital today."

Song Guanyu sat up, the blanket pulled to her chest. Her thick dark eyelashes drooped, looking a bit lonely.

"Aren't you off today?"

Seeing her lonely expression, Ye Yansheng walked over, crouched by the bed, and touched her earlobe, making a promise.

"Someone in my department asked for leave. I'm covering the shift. And I'm not in surgery today. I'll get off on time. What do you want for dinner tonight? I'll cook it for you."

Her eyes lit up at the mention of food. Ye Yansheng knew this would make her happy. But the next second, the smile on his lips froze.

"I want spicy crayfish!"

Ye Yansheng immediately refused. "No. You had hotpot last night."

Song Guanyu pouted, her fingertips suddenly tugging at Ye Yansheng's clothes.

"Dr. Ye, lean in a bit."

"What for?" He raised an eyebrow but indeed leaned in. He wanted to see how this Little Radish Head would convince him.

Because of his crouching position, he needed to look up. Just as he lifted his head, a dark figure pressed down, clumsily cupping his face with a fragrant scent.

'Smack!'

Song Guanyu's lips forcefully pressed against his, kissing him soundly. His hand, resting on the blanket, crumpled it into a small fold, holding tight.

Song Guanyu didn't notice his expression. Her eyes fluttered, a bit shy.

"Dr. Ye, I really want to eat what you make. Please save my greedy stomach." Then, like a kitten, she pecked one of his dimples. The other dimple was neglected, so she leaned over and pecked that too.

Her face was full of triumph, very childlike. She smiled at him as if she had finally tasted her favorite dessert.

She had been eyeing those dimples for a long time, always showing off in front of her. Now she was satisfied.

Ye Yansheng was stunned by her brief kiss.

Such gentle, lingering kisses were more heart-stirring than tongue kisses.

He looked dazedly at Song Guanyu, whose face was bright with a cheerful smile under the daylight, her big eyes twinkling like stars. It was the standard sweet expression she wore on stage, but he had never seen it before.

After a few seconds, Ye Yansheng snapped back to reality, coughed into his fist, and laughed. The Little Radish Head was learning to seduce him.

"Alright." He rubbed her cheek and added, "But no more sneaking drinks from the fridge. That beer my friend brought from abroad is high-alcohol. I'll throw it away when I get back tonight. If you sneak drinks again, no more delicious food."

She nodded obediently in bed. "Okay, okay. Won't drink anymore." Any more drinking and she'd be mortified. Alcohol was no good; she wouldn't drink it again.
