She took in the beautiful view outside the window, her mind still on Ye Yansheng's advice about driving steadily. After parking, she took the direct elevator up. As it slowly ascended, she leaned against the wide wall inside the elevator. Her eyes flickered as she took out her phone, opened WeChat, and clicked on a chat page with a contact named "Dr. Ye, Nagger." Burying her head, her fingers quickly tapped the screen a few times before she turned off her phone.
Hidden beneath her sunglasses and face mask, the corners of Song Guanyu's mouth curled up slightly. She couldn't help recalling the "illusion" she had seen when parting from Ye Yansheng.
He must have been too embarrassed to face her, standing against the light in a blur, but she clearly saw a strange flush creep onto his earlobe. Though not very obvious, her excellent eyesight caught it clearly.
She hadn't even been shy, yet he was the one getting bashful. Thinking of this, Song Guanyu couldn't help but smile, her eyes and brows curving.
If anyone had seen her laughing so loudly on the surveillance camera right then, they might have dropped their jaw, thinking she had some mental problem.
Now she was fully convinced he wasn't on his second marriage. His first marriage was to her. Her heart felt like pink bubbles were spreading inside, sweeter than the morning baby pumpkin.
Anyway, Ye Yansheng was shy. She was certain of it.
Her smile immediately faded. She raised a hand to feel her heart. A "thump-thump" sound came, quite regular. Song Guanyu frowned slightly. It was strange—her heart had no flutter at all. None whatsoever. How odd.
As she was puzzling over this, the elevator reached the top floor. A "ding" interrupted all her thoughts. She stepped out, deciding to look up some information online later.
Arriving on the top floor, the corridor was quiet. The floor was covered with thick woolen acoustic carpet, which isolated low frequencies and prevented structural sound transmission.
Song Guanyu walked on it without making a sound.
As she approached the door and was about to knock, she found it not fully closed. They had thoughtfully left it ajar for her, knowing she was coming.
She pushed the door open a crack and was about to speak, but the scene before her left her speechless with shock.
Senior Brother Bai was pressed tightly into a soft chair, kissing a woman with short hair!
The sound of saliva from their kiss filled Song Guanyu's ears and eyes. Her eyes wide, she stared unblinkingly at the two who were kissing passionately.
So that's what kissing looked like? They were stuck together, kissing more deeply.
Her brows were almost furrowed together. No wonder she hadn't felt that way with Ye Yansheng this morning. It was the wrong position.
Song Guanyu knew that woman was his girlfriend; she had known since she wrote lyrics for Senior Brother Bai.
Seeing that they were getting carried away, Song Guanyu quickly spoke up.
Bai Jingyi was deeply moved by Shu Wen's kiss and was about to pull her onto his lap when a loud voice came.
"Senior Brother Bai!"
Both of them froze on the soft chair. Bai Jingyi stopped moving. Shu Wen immediately buried her face into his shoulder. Bai Jingyi shielded her, glancing over her shoulder toward the door.
His junior sister had a look of astonishment, as if she might burst into tears any second.
The scene seemed to be paused. The three of them were motionless. It was Song Guanyu who suddenly snapped back to reality. She smiled awkwardly at Bai Jingyi as a greeting, then quickly showed tact.
"Senior Brother Bai, you two—" She was too flustered to finish her sentence.
"You two get yourselves together. I'll go to the restroom!" In an instant, she vanished, even thoughtfully closing the door behind her.
Bai Jingyi then turned to pull Shu Wen out of his arms. They exchanged a glance, both let out a sigh, and then burst into laughter.

Asking for a kiss is so adorable!
