Chapter 37: Extreme Cold Zombie 4

Snow Erosion Day Two

The train slowly rolled over the snow. Most of the shops along the street in the new development on the outskirts were still empty, having failed to attract much business. Fortunately, a few scattered shops lined the roadside—a dessert shop, a barbershop, a foot bath shop, and a clothing store, all in a row.

The glass doors of most shops were covered with thick snow, making it impossible to see inside. Only the cold wind swirled snowflakes around the entrances.

Lin Mo's gaze swept across the street view, and she brought the train to a steady stop in front of the dessert shop. The car body slanted across the shop entrance, blocking potential zombie threats.

"Wow!" Zhao Yiqi pressed his face against the window, his eyes lifting with excitement. "A dessert shop! Ruoruo, let's go! Let's dig out some stock—there's bound to be lots of good stuff!" With the train blocking the door, it was relatively safe inside; if something happened, they could quickly retreat. Bringing Lin Ruoruo along would also give her some practice. As the Train Conductor said, kids had to adapt to the current environment.

Lin Ruoruo pressed against the window, her small face full of anticipation, her voice soft: "I wonder if there's sweet strawberry cake? I haven't had it in ages."

The three quickly wrapped up in thick, warm clothing—hats, scarves, gloves—bundled up tightly, leaving only their eyes exposed. Since they were going indoors, they didn't need to wear anti-snow goggles.
