"It's cold. Aren't you cold?"
Yun Mi didn't like Chen Yiyang always asking. She complained softly, "Mind your own business."
Chen Yiyang could tell she was feeling a bit better and asked, "Do you have any wishes?"
Yun Mi squinted and asked, "What for?"
"To buy you a cake."
Yun Mi dragged out her tone, "It's not my birthday."
"Oh, you don't like it?"
Yun Mi saw Chen Yiyang take out his phone. The boy's hand with distinct knuckles held it, his bony, cold-white fingers swiped down, and he ordered a four-inch ice cream cake.
The girl pressed her lips together, her eyelids drooping. She was really unhappy, but she really wanted to eat it. She told the truth: "I like it, but it's not my birthday... what wish would I make."
The boy's cold, defined brow bone was clear. Chen Yiyang lowered his eyes and said, "You can ask me."
The low, magnetic voice uttered words with youthful rawness, landing lightly on her heart.
Yun Mi was suddenly stunned.
Chen Yiyang said, "Whatever you want, just say it. You can always make wishes to your brother."
Yun Mi asked, "What if it's very expensive?"
Chen Yiyang said, "I'll buy it."
Yun Mi asked again, "What if one day you have no money?"
Chen Yiyang thought for a moment and said, "Then I'll go earn money."
Yun Mi's eyes became a little moist. Last time on his birthday, Chen Yiyang said he didn't like celebrating, so she didn't ask.
Yun Mi asked, "Chen Yiyang, then what are your wishes?"
The sudden question caught Chen Yiyang off guard. He hadn't thought about it.
"Me?"
The young man's jet-black hair slightly covered, his expression on his smooth jawline was momentarily dazed, then he pulled his lips into a plain yet warm smile.
Completely different from usual.
Chen Yiyang said, "I hope for world peace."
Yun Mi commented, "Such a textbook, boring, broad wish."
Chen Yiyang had no intention of refuting his sister's criticism. He just said softly, "Mm."
He looked at her. The girl's thin shoulders weren't so tense, and her dejected expression improved.
After saying his big wish, he noticed Yun Mi's expression of speechlessness, as if she wanted to roll her eyes. Chen Yiyang laughed and greedily said a second one, "And."
Yun Mi looked at him with contempt and retorted, "Still more?" She questioned, "What good person makes two wishes at once?"
"Mm."
Chen Yiyang was greedy. He lowered his eyes and said, "I hope Yun Mi will be a little happier."
