Chapter 4 (3)

Shi Wenli was simply curious. "Which one are you leaning toward?"

Xu Qinghe answered honestly, "Definitely neurosurgery."

Neurosurgery anesthesia had always been her favorite direction.

She had liked it before meeting him, and after meeting him, she had to admit she liked it even more.

Even though she chose neurosurgery as her primary, she would continue to deepen her skills in cardiac anesthesia and become a core member of the cardiac anesthesia team as soon as possible.

She said, "This year, I focused on neurosurgery and scheduled fewer cardiac surgeries. They joked, asking if I was going to abandon cardiac surgery. I really love the atmosphere in cardiac."

Shi Wenli said, "The cardiac atmosphere is indeed good. When you officially join, you can also experience the atmosphere of our neurosurgery team."

The neurosurgery atmosphere was already pretty good, and Xu Qinghe had an additional filter for it.

She smiled and replied, "I don't need to experience it. I already know."

It was New Year's Eve tonight, and she casually asked Shi Wenli if he had any plans.

Shi Wenli said, "No plans. I'm taking a full week off after New Year's, so tonight I volunteered for the second on-call shift."

As soon as he finished, the phone on the table vibrated repeatedly.

Xu Qinghe opened it; it was from her colleague Fang Yu.

Fang Yu gossiped: [Dean Jiang is actually acting as a matchmaker!]

Fang Yu: [Guess who he's setting up?]

From the way her colleague asked, Xu Qinghe had a bad feeling.

Fang Yu couldn't wait and answered herself: [Dean Jiang introduced a matchmaking prospect for Director Shi. I heard it's the daughter of a friend of his, from a very wealthy family.]

Fang Yu: [If Director Shi gets a partner, how many people in our hospital will be heartbroken?]

Xu Qinghe: "..."

Fang Yu joked: [Good thing I'm married, or I'd be crying my eyes out.]

Fang Yu: [You're close to Director Shi. Did that introduction from Dean Jiang work out?]

Fang Yu: [A lot of friends from the lab, imaging, ER, OB/GYN, and medical administration are all concerned about this.]

Xu Qinghe: "..."

Fang Yu laughed: [Now you know why I'm so anxious (chuckle)(chuckle)]

Xu Qinghe replied: [If you hadn't told me, I wouldn't have known.]

Fang Yu was surprised: [Even you didn't know?]

Xu Qinghe: [If you ask about his projects, there's nothing I don't know. But about his personal love life, I really don't know.]

She and Shi Wenli rarely talked about personal matters, and he had been abroad for the past year.

Fang Yu: [You're busy, I won't disturb you.]

Fang Yu: [When you get a chance, try to find out (evil grin)(evil grin)(love you)]

Xu Qinghe also wanted to know if Shi Wenli would go on this blind date.

He had once said he wasn't considering marriage in the next few years.

But times change.

Back then, he hadn't been promoted to associate chief physician, hadn't gone for advanced training, and Shi Miao wasn't in a relationship.

Now, things were different.

She put down her phone and occasionally glanced at Shi Wenli across from her.

Shi Wenli noticed her gaze. "What's wrong?"

Xu Qinghe said, "I heard that Dean Jiang introduced a blind date for you?"

Once the question was out, she felt a bit relieved.

"Word spreads that fast?" Shi Wenli smiled helplessly. "I heard from someone else that Dean Jiang wanted to introduce a girlfriend to me. I, the person involved, had no idea."

According to Jiang Yang, Dean Jiang had asked if he was single and wanted to introduce him to his friend's daughter.

Dean Jiang's intention was that there was no rush; he'd wait until after Shi Miao's wedding was done.

Jiang Yang teased his father: My dad is actually quite considerate.
