The night shrouded half the sky, and the hall echoed with light classical music. The light refracted through crystal chandeliers, casting a warm glow over the dancing and socializing crowd in the hall.
Jenny danced a duet with Giddy. At first, she didn't know how to dance, but later Frank often took her to dance halls to learn. So, while not an excellent dancer, she at least didn't step on anyone's toes.
Giddy was good at communicating. His daily work in the office was similar to Jenny's, so they found common ground not only in life but also in work.
"...Our boss is similar to Mr. Eliot, but his temper is more eccentric. He hides his emotions, so we can't tell how he's really feeling. But even when we make mistakes, he doesn't yell. He just looks at us like we're idiots and says things that don't sound hurtful at first but are if you think about them..."
Giddy and Jenny walked over to the cocktail bar and sat down. Jenny was out of breath. She fanned herself with a fan borrowed from a female colleague.
