A quarter of an hour later, all of Norlave's past works appeared on Jenny's desk. If Dawling weren't the largest publishing company in New York State, no matter how clever Emme was, she couldn't have immediately obtained these novels, most of which had been banned by the English government.
Norlave's stories were rich, or rather, too realistic. His romance novels featured characters like priests who liked little boys and cannibalistic aristocrats, so no matter how well-written they were, they were repeatedly banned and even landed him in prison several times in England.
Although his works primarily focused on love stories, they also realistically depicted many ugly aspects of human nature, such as a plethora of adulterous affairs.
Jenny spent the entire day in her office flipping through a couple of books and resolved to find him.
In the evening, at quitting time, the clock sounded from outside. Jenny closed her books, rubbed her eyes in the editorial office, and after the initial excitement, she became uncertain again.
