Seeing Emme so cautious and barely daring to breathe, Jenny said directly, "There's no one else in the room besides me. Come in."
Emme glanced at her expression, saw no sign of annoyance on Jenny's face, and stepped inside with relief. Jenny went to the living room table, poured her a cup of tea, and gestured for her to sit. Then she turned and opened the wall cabinet, pulling out a large pile of colorful paper boxes, wooden boxes, and velvet boxes, stacking them on the dining table.
"Sit down, don't be nervous. What's going on with you today? Have you heard some rumors?"
Emme held the white porcelain teacup, nodding cautiously, her eyes inadvertently slipping to a large leather case on the side table, stamped with the Tiffany logo. Her heart skipped a beat—could the rumors be true?
"Um, in the dormitory, some people have been whispering about you, saying..."
"Saying I'm having an affair with the boss, right?"
