Bai Lin didn't confirm or deny.
Under Jin Hu's command, the other black-clad figures immediately began forming teams. Seven in each group, each making different gestures, as if forming an array.

"This is the actual construction site under the Monster Bureau's responsibility. Every site is surrounded by barrier arrays set up by the Supervision Bureau. Besides the demon-power sunglasses, they also wear Big Dipper jade pendants imbued with the power of the Seven Stars, which enhances the arrays and connects to the Human-Demon Co-governance Committee, allowing the half-demon high-ranking officials inside to receive the site's magnetic field in real time."
Huangfu Jun finally understood what it meant for Bai Lin to transform the anklet into a jade pendant.
It meant he had elevated her status to the management level of the Supervision Bureau. No wonder Jin Hu was so displeased.
Huangfu Jun noticed something else. She turned to Bai Lin, searching for his face in the dim tunnel. "The accident at the Monster Bureau site killed dozens of human workers. Were they all inspectors?"
Bai Lin took Huangfu Jun's hand and led her deeper into the tunnel.
"The Supervision Bureau doesn't usually lose so many people. At ordinary Monster Bureau sites, only one set of the Seven Stars array is needed. But this place is different. The damage to the space-time wall is unprecedented in severity."
