Suddenly, a dizzying sensation swept over her. The entire Ice Sea seemed to turn upside down and flow in reverse! Huangfu Jun felt dizzy, unable to open her eyes, and her body involuntarily spun with that terrifying force. She instinctively closed her eyes tightly, holding her breath, afraid that if she didn't, the acid in her stomach would come up. She gripped anything she could hold onto, as if not holding onto something would make the violent deep-sea vortex suck her into a terrifying abyss.
After an unknown amount of time, the dizziness gradually dissipated. She cautiously opened her eyes. The world before her had changed dramatically. Now, she seemed to be standing in a pitch-black cave, surrounded by thick darkness. Only an intermittent sound of flowing water echoed in the silence, adding to the eerie atmosphere.
Huangfu Jun hugged her arms, looking around warily. The sound of water came from far away one moment, then close the next, as if whispering in her ear, making it impossible to discern direction. A strong sense of unease surged within her. She opened her eyes wide in fear, her heartbeat quickening, and her breathing becoming rapid.
She tentatively took a step forward, but was suddenly tripped by something and fell hard to the ground! She struggled to get up, wanting to escape this terrifying and suffocating place. But the thing that had tripped her seemed to tighten, pulling her off balance, almost making her fall again. She stepped back to steady herself.
She called out softly through her mental link, "Captain Bai? Captain Bai? Are you there?" But only dead silence answered her. Not entirely silent, though, because as she spoke, a faint layer of luminous light appeared around her. By the dim light, she looked down and saw a sturdy seaweed tightly wrapped around her foot. The seaweed looked strange, covered in small scales that shimmered with a frightening blood-red glow in the faint light. It seemed to have a will of its own, tightening and loosening with her movements, making it impossible to break free. She shook her foot vigorously, but the seaweed remained unmoved, tightening even more.
