Chapter 1: "Let me enter your… …" (2)

Little sister's Spiritual Power potential is high; there's hope of becoming a god."

"June 22, 3094, Sunny

Today the weather is still nice.

I miss Mom."

The last sentence had no date, no weather.

"I'm leaving."

Chu Ran's eyes narrowed at the last sentence. She quickly pulled up her pant leg—there was no scar on her ankle that should have been permanent.

She froze in place. After a long while, she put down the diary and raised her hands in front of her. The fingers were slender and covered in dust, but she could tell at a glance that there were calluses on her fingertips.

Not her body.

Chu Ran sighed. So she had been reincarnated in someone else's body.

Too bad.

She couldn't remember how she died.

Just as she was about to pick up the diary, she saw the dirt on her hands. Frowning, she slapped her hands together a few times—smack, smack, smack.

What a crappy room, dirty and no water.

After making them barely presentable, Chu Ran picked up the diary again and looked at the last page. The original owner's mother died, and her father died too.

But Spiritual Power, becoming a god...

Chu Ran flipped back a few pages, looking at the childish handwriting, thoughtful. A world with gods.

Too bad she didn't have the original owner's memories. She needed other ways to understand this world.

Chu Ran put the diary back in the suitcase, picked up the silver-white bracelet, and gently touched the screen.

Beep!

"User 'think of you three times sixty-five days,' welcome to Phantom 2076 Deluxe Edition! Phantom 2076, your best choice~"

"Friendly reminder: The Phantom series has launched the latest 3023 Premium Edition, giving you a brand-new StarNet experience—super-fast internet, no lag. You can visit the official website for product info~"

A gentle female voice sounded in the room.

The bracelet screen lit up, and a projected interface appeared before her eyes.

"You have one unread StarNet email. Please check it in time."

A huge email icon flashed on the screen.

Chu Ran paused, then tapped the icon. It quickly transformed into a few lines of text.

"Student ID 209185:

Reminder: Please pay tuition of 30,000 carats before August 31, 3094. Failure to do so will result in the revocation of your admission spot.

Third Training Institute, Academic Affairs Office"

30,000 carats?

Third Training Institute?

Chu Ran raised an eyebrow and tried tapping the screen again.

The text shattered into fireworks and quickly dissipated.

The screen returned to the general interface, with the first icon being e-banking.

Taking a deep breath, Chu Ran tapped the account icon—unsurprisingly, a four-digit number.

A solid confirmation that her mother died, then her father died too.

Chu Ran clicked her tongue twice, turned off the screen, put on the bracelet, bent down, and closed the suitcase.

She looked at the grayish-white door across the room.

The door had no handle, only a black button.

Behind the door was an unknown world.

Suddenly, a wind blew outside, bursting through the unsecured window, shoving aside the heavy curtain, making sunlight and dust dance together in the small, dirty room. The view brightened abruptly, and the acrid smell sealed her nostrils—like a scorching, twisted summer afternoon, chaotic and hallucinogenic.

Standing with her back to the light, Chu Ran pressed the button without hesitation.

Since she was here.

With a whoosh, the door opened.

The wind outside grew stronger.

The curtain rustled, muffled yet piercing.

Chu Ran's lips curled up. Pulling her suitcase, she walked out of the room.

Wish me luck.

The next second, her smile quickly fell.
