Yu Mei and Andrew walked side by side to Gao Yuan. "Long time no see."
"Long time no see." Gao Yuan had many emotions, but seeing the serious expression of Andrew beside her, he swallowed them all. It was a politician's tact not to mention the ex in front of the current.
"Is Andeke still at the research institute?" Andrew asked in a deep voice.
Gao Yuan paused. "Yes, but Huang Feiying and his team have left."
Andrew raised an eyebrow slightly, pondered for a moment, and said nothing. He preferred to wait for Charlie Jing's analysis results before meeting the Special Squad.
Yu Mei frowned. "Where did they go?"
Gao Yuan felt relieved—old friends were always considerate. He said bluntly, "They went to Anxin Hospital, intending to interrogate the details of the preliminary round attack again."
"Planning to go back on their word?" Yu Mei sneered. "The议长 approved the handling opinions for He Qishen and He Qiwu."
Gao Yuan spread his hands. "I'm helpless too."
He had watched the last bit of life fade from that young man.
But he could do nothing.
Andrew sighed slightly, respecting Yu Mei's choice.
Yu Mei glanced at him indifferently. "You don't need to make that face. This was also Charlie Jing's request."
Andrew coughed lightly. "I agree."
Gao Yuan kept his eyes down, nose to nose, silent.
Andrew opened the car door. After Yu Mei got in, he turned and gave Gao Yuan a meaningful look before bending down to sit inside.
Gao Yuan's heart jolted, then he comforted himself: it's fine, if things go wrong, he can whisper in her ear.
The convoy sped along the temporarily opened exclusive lane straight to Anxin Hospital.
"Say that again!" Huang Feiying's face darkened as he stepped forward and grabbed He Qishen by the neck.
He Qishen did not struggle at all; his eyes were calm and barren, forced to look up as his face gradually turned red and blue.
"Captain, calm down," the deputy saw Huang Feiying's hand squeezing tighter, quickly stepped forward and pulled his arm.
Huang Feiying let go, staring coldly at He Qishen. These bastards!
He knew he couldn't kill He Qishen openly, but He Qishen's gaze infuriated him—it was like looking at Chu Ran.
The other members came over to support Huang Feiying and step back.
They were not surprised by Huang Feiying's state.
Being stepped on by Chu Ran was such a disgrace; it was already extreme restraint that he hadn't gone on a killing spree.
The deputy saw Huang Feiying didn't intend to move forward, so he relaxed his expression and stood by the bed, looking down at He Qishen. "If you want to get out of surveillance quickly, stop your silent resistance."
"Ordinary citizens also need to cooperate with the investigation of the God Summoning Society."
He Qishen gasped heavily, the black-and-purple handprint on his neck clearly visible. His eyes were lifeless, like barren land that would never sprout again.
"God Summoning Society?"
Yu Mei pushed the door open with a cold face.
Behind her, Dr. Sun quickly stepped forward, bending down to check He Qishen's neck.
"The God Summoning Society doesn't have that kind of ability," Yu Mei said coldly.
Dr. Sun looked at the handprint turning black and purple; his face paled. He couldn't suppress his anger and stood up abruptly. "This is Anxin Hospital, not your interrogation room!"
Huang Feiying's expression didn't change; he didn't even glance at her, his eyes fixed on the slowly approaching Andrew. "You came fast."
Andrew looked at him, standing steadily behind Yu Mei like the most loyal guardian.
Yu Mei looked at He Qishen's wooden expression and the black-purple handprint, her face darkening. "Huang Feiying, you are challenging federal law!"
The deputy smiled at her and explained gently, "Madam Yu, the captain was just anxious seeing his unyielding attitude. You know the importance of the Divine Ruins Key."
Dr. Sun sneered, bent down to do emergency treatment, and said nothing.
Yu Mei raised an eyebrow, stepped forward, and in full view of everyone—smack!
The deputy's right cheek quickly swelled; scattered hair covered his eyes, and his raised smile froze.
"Yu Mei!"
Huang Feiying exploded with rage, shook off the team members' arms, and punched at Yu Mei's face.
Bang!
The fist carrying a sharp wind landed in a broad palm.
Andrew pulled Yu Mei into his shoulder, forcing her to turn around while his left hand blocked Huang Feiying's attack without hesitation.
His expression was indifferent; his fingers didn't even grip Huang Feiying's fist. His gaze was warning. "I don't think you want to receive a second warning letter."
"Andrew, you're not the one sitting in the议长 seat!" Huang Feiying's gaze was cold and sinister.
Before Andrew could answer, Yu Mei turned around directly and slapped again—smack!
The air froze.
