When Chu Yuan's family was sent into the interrogation room, they were completely stunned.
The glass in the interrogation room was one-way—from the outside, you could see clearly inside, but from the inside, it was just a black void.
Chu Yuan frowned deeply, looking at the glass. "Commander Yan, I may have opposed your ideas yesterday, but you have no right to detain me in an interrogation room."
Commander Yan's expression was calm. "Chu Yuan, don't try to fish for information. I can tell you that it was an order from above to bring you here."
"The person interrogating you will arrive in an hour."
"What do you mean?" Chu Yuan's expression shifted.
Having reached the position of Vice Commander, he had a keen sense of danger. Earlier, when he learned that his father had mysteriously disappeared and Chu Heng was unconscious, he had a bad feeling.
He had originally planned to take leave and return to the Seventh Sub-Star, but his youngest brother suddenly messaged him, telling him not to act rashly. After their father disappeared, his youngest brother was the one he trusted most in the Chu family, so he suppressed his anxiety and stayed on the Sixth Sub-Star.
Just an hour ago, he had been on the phone with his younger brother, and there had been nothing unusual.
"What exactly happened? Why was even An'an arrested?!" Chu Yuan's wife was the first to break down, questioning Chu Heng.

"Your son is much calmer than you are," Chu Yuan said, looking at Chu An with a hint of approval. Then he fell into thought. "If there were really a big problem, my younger brother wouldn't keep it from me. So it must be something even he didn't anticipate."
"If it's not you, and not your younger brother, then it must be Chu Heng!" Chu Yuan's wife caught on immediately, her expression furious. "I've always said that second brother of yours is no good! Not only is he incompetent, but he's always causing shameful incidents, and even An'an suffers at school because of it!"
Chu Yuan frowned and turned to Chu An. "Have you been criticized at school because of Chu Heng?"
Chu An glanced at his mother but didn't say much. "It's not a big deal. I can handle it."
Before He Yi married into the family, his father had already taken up a post in the Sixth Sub-Star Legion, and in the following decades, he rarely went back. So it was clear to anyone that this matter had nothing to do with their family. Even if Chu Ran had exploded onto StarNet, at most it just meant dealing with some bitter gossips at school.
Outside the interrogation room, Commander Yan and his adjutant heard every word.
"Seems the rumor that Chu Heng has no standing in the Chu family is true. His own brother, sister-in-law, and nephew all refer to him by his full name."
Commander Yan's eyes flickered with a hint of sarcasm. "The Chu family isn't much different from Chu Heng."
As if he didn't know about the shady things Chu Yuan had done privately.
Inside the interrogation room, Chu An's expression turned serious. "If the problem really comes from the second branch, then it's definitely not a small matter."
Chu Yuan knew that well, and as Vice Commander of the Sixth Sub-Star, he had access to more information. He glanced at the pitch-black glass outside, and his unease grew.
That unease peaked an hour later when the interrogator arrived.

The lead man seemed satisfied with their expressions. As he walked out of the room, he warned, "Don't try any tricks. Answer our questions truthfully."
The first image to appear on the wall was of the chef who had committed suicide out of guilt a few months ago.
"Tell us everything you know about this person."

Chu Yuan closed his eyes. Once this was linked to the God Summoning Society, his chances of further promotion would be slim to none.

The interrogation dragged on.
