The man's breath was heavy, his eyes deep and lingering.
He said hoarsely to Song Guanyu, "Xiaodai, can I take off your clothes?"
The thought of what was to come made Song Guanyu tremble uncontrollably. She dared not meet his eyes but nodded slightly under his gaze. Ye Yansheng's fingers also trembled slightly, his Adam's apple bobbing. He touched the buttons of her shirt.
He undid the first button, revealing her perfect collarbone. His eyes darkened. Then the second button. Her shirt fell open, and under the shadows, his thumb gently stroked her shoulder. A soft sound escaped her lips.
He saw the mark he had left on her shoulder last time, now faded.
"Did you apply the ointment I bought you last time?"
"Yes... yes, I brought it with me this time." As the buttons of her shirt came undone, his calloused hand slipped under the hem, slid up from her waist across her back, and reached the clasp below her shoulder blades.
The hotel was quiet, with good soundproofing. With a 'click', something was undone. Song Guanyu's breath caught, and she trembled more.
A cold draft from the air conditioner swept across their skin, sending shivers. Song Guanyu bit her lower lip and hugged Ye Yansheng tightly.
She whispered in his ear, "Dr. Ye, can you turn off the light?" She could feel her face burning up, even hotter than Ye Yansheng's fever.
The lamp was turned off. The light in the room dimmed, adding a layer of concealment. Darkness amplified one's impulses and mischief.
The white shirt was thrown carelessly onto the carpet, followed by the white camisole.
Beads of sweat, glimmers of moonlight, illuminated a room of blurred passion.
Firm skin and soft, delicate skin pressed tightly together. In the dark, Ye Yansheng sighed. His hand gently stroked her hair, his fingers catching a strand and twirling it before letting go.
The man's arms suddenly braced against the sofa. His face was redder. His short black hair, half-damp, hung loosely over his forehead. He tilted his head back slightly in the darkness, lazily leaning against the back of the sofa, half-open eyes exhaling hot breath, sweat rolling from his temples. A muffled groan escaped his throat.
Ye Yansheng always remembered he was sick. He didn't do anything to Song Guanyu. They had agreed to wait until they returned home—their first time should happen in their own home.
It should be cherished.
But tonight, Song Guanyu seemed determined not to stop until she got her candy. In the darkness, she seemed frighteningly bold.
Ye Yansheng couldn't refuse any of her approaches.
Her hand rested on his leg. Ye Yansheng felt as though he was soaking in a hot spring, the heat fogging his mind. He closed his eyes tightly, letting his tense body relax completely in that hot spring.
Before he could recover, Song Guanyu climbed into his arms and kissed him on the lips. He raised his arm to wrap around her waist and pulled her close. Half-tilting his head, his lips and teeth met hers. They kissed differently than usual. Saliva overflowed from the corners of their mouths, dripping down Ye Yansheng's jaw, tracing over his chest, leaving a wet trail.
Song Guanyu was soaking in the bath. The fever medicine Ye Yansheng had ordered online finally arrived.
Just in time. He popped out the pills and washed them down with bottled water. Whether it was an illusion or not, the medicine seemed to work quickly. He felt much better now.
By the bedside, Song Guanyu lay in Ye Yansheng's arms, drowsy.
He called her name. Song Guanyu, whose eyelids had just drooped, opened them slightly and gave a soft 'Mm'.
Her soft 'Mm' made his heart melt. He held her tighter, resting his head on top of hers and rubbing gently, a faint smile on his lips.
"Sleep, Xiaodai."
With his magnetic voice, Song Guanyu fell asleep.
In the darkness, the man softly corrected her.
"It's twenty-eight hours, thirty-five minutes, and fifty seconds. Song Xiaodai, I missed you terribly. Every moment."
The depth and mystery of the ocean had always frightened me—the blue whirlpools, the rising and sinking waters—all currents I disliked. I longed for a calm life, without the spirit of adventure or pursuit. But meeting you was my courageous step forward.
Lowering his head to look at the sleeping person in his arms, Ye Yansheng gently rubbed her cheek. It was soft and plump.
In his heart, he said: Song Guanyu, I will always chase after you.
