In the taxi, Song Guanyu and Ye Yansheng shared an unspoken understanding. They each looked out their own window, the glass reflecting a certain anticipation between their brows.
Song Guanyu turned her head to watch the rapidly receding buildings, her heartbeat fluctuating. Her other hand tightly gripped the hem of her clothes, fingers curling inward. Their wrists were intimately pressed together, fingers interlocked. The scarlet red ribbon she had just tightly wound around Ye Yansheng's solid wrist now bound their hands together.
Ye Yansheng's palm was delicately sweating. She could feel his overly warm body temperature eroding her palm, making her sweat as well.
Through the reflection on the car window, Song Guanyu saw the outline of Ye Yansheng's profile—his lips tightly pressed, his jawline taut. Neon lights flashed across his face, casting shifting shadows, a soft riot of colors washing over him.
She withdrew her gaze and looked at the driver, who was bobbing his head to the music.
The car was playing 'make me love', and the lyrics instantly made the backseat couple freeze. Then Song Guanyu turned to look at him, just as the song hit the current lyrics.
(Make make me make)
Their eyes met.
(Make me miss you baby)
Your touch still lingers, warm.
Ye Yansheng's deep, striking features were caressed by the dazzling neon lights outside, flickering between light and dark. She was being stared at intently by him.
Song Guanyu felt a wave of heat rush through her entire body.
She urgently wanted something to happen between them.
So she simply closed her eyes, turned around, and directly told the driver to speed up.
The driver raised an eyebrow in the rearview mirror, glancing at the pair in the back. The man was frowning, his temples already damp, as if he was holding back. The girl, though her face wasn't visible, exuded a certain air. The driver, unfazed, complied with Song Guanyu's request and immediately took a shortcut, smoothly and safely delivering them to their hotel entrance.
As Ye Yansheng and Song Guanyu hurriedly got out of the car, the driver rolled down the window and waved at them.
Ye Yansheng intended to respond, but Song Guanyu seemed unable to wait. She pulled him and dashed toward the hotel.
The driver, left behind, smiled warmly, shaking his head as he watched them disappear. Ah, youth.
He then drove off with a smile, ready for the next fare.
The hotel door burst open messily. The room card beeped, but before it could be inserted into the power slot, it dropped onto the carpet. The door slammed shut with a bang.
Song Guanyu had just removed her mask and sunglasses when her fingers touched the red ribbon binding their wrists. As she loosened it, the ribbon began to slip, threatening to fall. Ye Yansheng grabbed it, winding it around their fingers.
He pinned her hands above her head and pressed her against the wall, bending down to kiss her. Song Guanyu was overwhelmed by his fierce kiss, her head tilted back, unable to move.
One hand circled her waist, slowly caressing, then pressing. Her legs gave way, and her lips parted, releasing fragmented sounds. She tried to retreat, but Ye Yansheng wouldn't allow it. He pulled her closer, his body covering hers. His jawline was taut, his broad back unknowingly tense. He entangled his tongue with hers, urging her to reciprocate, and finally merged with her.
A wet, sticky sound emerged in the dark. In this cramped space where they couldn't see each other's expressions, both were flushed and heated, the heat enveloping them completely.
Their bodies clung tightly, and Song Guanyu sensed Ye Yansheng's change. As he continued kissing her, her mind wandered to a morning after their marriage registration—the sensation in her hand still faint, and the time at the hotel when he hoarsely said he was afraid her mouth would get hurt...
Her lip was bitten. She let out a soft moan. Ye Yansheng then released the hold on her hands.
He lifted her into the air. She gasped, her legs instinctively wrapping around his waist. Her hands obediently circled his sweat-beaded neck. In the dim light, she gazed at him with wet, large eyes. His eyes were dark as ink, filled with desire.
Ye Yansheng's Adam's apple moved. He raised a hand and gently touched her burning earlobe, pinching it. Song Guanyu shivered and dodged. Then he moved his thumb to her lips, lightly brushing them. They were soft and delicate, still warm from his kiss.
His gaze lingered on her lips, his expression unreadable. After a long moment, he slowly shifted his eyes to hers. That look made Ye Yansheng's temples pulse violently. Being stared at by such beautiful eyes, Song Guanyu's face was covered in a blush. She was expectant.
That gaze made his breathing erratic.
But he suppressed the thoughts in his mind and couldn't help but chuckle. "Xiaodai, are you in a hurry?"
Song Guanyu was already flustered by his teasing. Hearing him talk like that, she grew frustrated. She reached out and unbuttoned two buttons of his shirt, yanking the collar aside. A broad, solid chest and an excellent shoulder-to-neck line were revealed. She immediately pressed her lips to his shoulder, biting hard, then grinding with her tongue.
Ye Yansheng let out a heavy grunt, but a smile played on his lips. He actually found it exhilarating. This little kitten was easily riled and couldn't take a joke.
The air became sticky and humid. The air conditioning had not yet been turned on, and the excessive heat caused them both to sweat more. Hot beads of sweat mingled with saliva. Her teeth grazed his skin, followed by the soothing touch of her soft tongue.
Ye Yansheng stopped teasing. He decided to spend a wonderful night with her, one she would never forget. Waiting until they returned home was impossible. Since they were now in sync, anywhere they were together was home.
He gripped her chin, applying slight pressure on both sides of her cheeks to make her release. Song Guanyu let go, and her chin was lifted. Ye Yansheng scooped her up and turned toward the bathroom. Just as he was about to lean in for a kiss, a knock sounded at the door.
Both Song Guanyu and Ye Yansheng froze.
...
Ye Yansheng decided to ignore it. He turned his head and kissed her soft cheek. Song Guanyu had a round, chubby face that made Ye Yansheng adore her.
After kissing her cheek, he moved to kiss her lips. The knock came again. Ye Yansheng's body stiffened. The persistent knocker seemed determined to get a response.
Song Guanyu, slightly breathless, whispered in his ear, "Dr. Ye, maybe someone has something urgent. Could you... go check?" She was sweaty and wanted to shower. "I'll wait for you in the bathroom."
With that, she cupped his face, gave him a loud smooch on the lips, jumped off him, and scurried into the bathroom.
Only when the sound of water came from the bathroom did Ye Yansheng, with a darkened expression, go to open the door. He wanted to see who was so reckless as to knock at this hour.
The door opened.
Song Huaizhi, who had been about to knock again, froze. Ye Yansheng looked terrible. The two men—Song Huaizhi and Zhou Shanli—stood in the hotel corridor.
Ye Yansheng steadied his breathing. "Something wrong?" Though his tone seemed stable, both men outside stiffened.
Ye Yansheng hadn't turned on the lights in the room. In the dim corridor light, they could clearly see his disheveled state.
His shirt was unbuttoned at two points, wrinkled, with the collar wide open. Red marks were faintly visible on his muscular chest line. Looking up, a bite mark on his shoulder was fresh. The hem of his shirt was also partially untucked, far from his usual neat appearance.
Song Huaizhi realized something. He craned his neck to look inside—nobody in sight, but he heard the faint sound of running water.
He was taken aback. Remembering that Ye Yansheng was married, he felt compelled to warn him, "Ye Yansheng! You're fooling around with a woman abroad! If your wife finds out, she'll kill you! How could you do this? I've known you since childhood; I never thought you were this kind of person! You just got married!"
