"Open your mouth."
On a summer morning, birds chirped wantonly. Song Guanyu had already woken up at the break of dawn.
Her internal clock was always early; no matter how late she went to bed the night before, she always woke up early the next day.
She opened her sleepy eyes slowly, not yet fully awake. Her hand touched something—hard, and she even gave it a stroke.
A low male groan came from above her head, a voice husky and heavy like a tape recorder.
Startled, Song Guanyu immediately snapped awake, sat up in bed, and turned to look.
Ye Yansheng opened his eyes at that moment. His gaze fell on Song Guanyu sitting on the white quilt, her messy wavy hair falling to her chest, a strand of her airy bangs sticking up playfully. With the sleep creases on her face, half of it was white and half red.
Before him, a glimpse of her bosom was exposed—pale skin, her collarbone prominent due to her small frame. Her mouth was open as she stared blankly at him.
He propped himself up on his elbow, saying nothing about the accidental incident just now.
"Good morning, Miss Song."
His voice, just after waking, was very deep, reminding her of the low hum of a piano.
"Good morning, Dr. Ye," she responded.
Ye Yansheng nodded at her, then flipped open the quilt and got out of bed.
A certain part of him was visibly different. The ice-silk pajama fabric was thin, becoming more noticeable as he moved. Song Guanyu's eyes lingered there for a few seconds before she realized what she had touched just now.
Her face instantly flushed, but her gaze still drifted to that area. She recalled what Xu Jiayu had once told her about the male body structure.
A miraculous structure that makes the desires of men and women rise to a level of pleasure.
She swallowed.
That touch just now... it seemed... quite large. Her fingertips, hidden under the quilt, felt the heat in her palms rise, as if still recollecting the sensation in her hand.
Ye Yansheng, who had gone to get a change of clothes, noticed her gaze. He looked at her and curled his lips. When Song Guanyu's doe-like eyes met his gaze, she abruptly lowered her head.
Ye Yansheng raised an eyebrow. The Little Radish Head was shy.
What was even more intriguing was that her skin was so fair; the blush spread rapidly to her earlobes and neck, her earlobes red, and the skin extending down her neck also turned red, creating a pleasing visual effect for him.
His little wife was very beautiful and cute.
The first half of the night, both of them slept well. In the second half, Song Guanyu started tossing and turning, kicking him several times. Finally, unable to tolerate it, he locked her firmly in his arms using both arms and legs, and only then did she calm down. It was this locking that had led to the awkward incident just now.
If not for his self-control, he might have... well, male desires are easily aroused in the morning. Her hand was soft and delicate, and the sensation of it in his hand was wonderful. Thinking of this, Ye Yansheng found Song Guanyu, now blushing, especially adorable. If he teased her, he wondered if the little one would cry out of fright.
Her eyes were so beautiful; what kind of beautiful scene would her tears present?
Ye Yansheng had many thoughts in his mind, but he showed no embarrassment. His face was calm. After taking his change of clothes, he glanced at Song Guanyu and said,
"Miss Song, satisfied with what you saw?" Barefoot, he was about to walk to the bathroom but paused at the door, unable to resist teasing her.
Song Guanyu quickly looked up at him. She watched him leaning against the doorframe, instinctively pulled the quilt higher, leaving only her eyes visible. Ye Yansheng half-leaned on the doorframe, his arms crossed, with a smile in his eyes.
He was mocking her.
She could tell from his tone. She half-lowered her eyelashes, deliberately not taking the bait, and murmured with her head down: "Dr. Ye, did you sleep well last night?"
Ye Yansheng's eyes were dark. He almost laughed in exasperation. She dared to ask?
She had just seen him massaging his other shoulder when he got out of bed.
It seemed she had fallen asleep in his arms last night; could she have pressed on him all night? He probably hadn't slept well. Seeing him like this, it was clear he hadn't slept well. Her mother had always said that since childhood, she slept restlessly, moving her hands and feet a lot.
Seeing her shoulders slump instantly, her body deflating like a punctured ball, Ye Yansheng paused. He felt he might have gone too far. The little one was young; he should just let her be.
So he cleared his throat, his expression serious and earnest as he called out, "Miss Song, look up at me." She obediently lifted her head, looking quite self-reproachful.
He smiled and said, "I slept very well last night." Her face lit up again. "But I saw your shoulder seems uncomfortable," she said eagerly.
"That's from the surgery I performed yesterday; it has nothing to do with you."
He was telling the truth. Yesterday's surgery was very strenuous. After all, in orthopedics, physical exertion is enormous; arm soreness is normal. Although her pressing on him all night was a factor, ultimately, it had nothing to do with her.
She didn't need to blame herself.
Seeing her still looking at him worriedly, Ye Yansheng smiled helplessly and changed the subject: "I'll wash up in the next room. You can use the master bathroom. After you finish, come downstairs for breakfast." With that, he was about to leave the master bedroom. Song Guanyu saw him pause at the doorframe, then come back. She heard him ask, "What would you like for breakfast? Any dietary restrictions?"
Song Guanyu shook her head, confused: "No, I'm not picky."
The corners of his eyes curved: "That's good." His voice faded away, and she vaguely heard him mutter something about her being easy to take care of.
When Song Guanyu finished her shower, dried her hair, and came to the living room, the dining table was already set with shrimp wontons, sweet corn, and a bowl of nuts. The wontons gave off a fragrant shrimp aroma, with a sprinkle of seaweed shreds and chopped green onions on the soup. It looked delicious and whetted her appetite.
Her mouth began to water.
She saw Ye Yansheng busy in the kitchen wearing an apron, the strings tied in a bow behind his waist, making his shoulders and back look broader. Combined with his current refined and restrained appearance, it was a harmonious sight. She couldn't help but think that adding a pair of rimless glasses would make it even better.
Ye Yansheng had already changed clothes. He was wearing a black shirt with his sleeves rolled up. The ring on his left ring finger was wet, casting fragmented light and shadow. It was the wedding ring she had put on him herself.
As his hands moved, the veins on the back of his hands extended up his arms, clearly showing his well-built physique. After all, being an orthopedic doctor, he was full of muscles, but Ye Yansheng wasn't the type with overly obvious muscles. His muscle lines were beautiful, lean and firm. He probably exercised regularly to maintain his shape.
She was silently amazed and put aside her fantasies, filled with emotion.
He could cook.
Quietly moving closer, she hid behind the door and peeked out, seeing through the glass what he was doing.
