Chapter 28: Provocation and Respect (2)

Who would want him in their squad?

"We'll take him away. Please spare his dog life." The leader stood out painfully and quickly ran toward Wang Junran.

Suddenly, someone shouted, "I'm not like that idiot. I'm very grateful to you!"

At this, the surroundings boiled over like hot water. Students all paused their lunch mission and swarmed over.

"Me too, me too!"

"Junior Chu Ran, can I apply to be your communication friend?"

"Get out of my way! I want a photo with Chu Ran!"

"I'm first!"

A surging crowd, as excited as zombies chasing fresh flesh.

Seeing the situation turn bad, Chu Ran and Jian immediately gave up on eating and quickly turned to run back.

The cafeteria chef ran out. "What are you doing?! If you're not eating, get the hell out! Look at you, scaring Chu Ran away!"

"I just bragged to my daughter that the first meal Chu Ran had here was made by me, and you little brats ruined it!"

Chu Ran ran fast. Jian ran even faster, even turning back to wait for her. The wind from running carried withered leaves, swirling around.

"Hahaha, this is so fun!" Jian suddenly burst into laughter as she ran. "Chu Ran, I want to become someone like you!"

Chu Ran glanced at her.

Someone like me?

If it weren't for some fools, I wouldn't stay here.

The ones I want to save are only those who risked their lives to save me.

But...

This feeling isn't bad now.

Back in the dorm, Jian immediately opened her Light Brain and found the chef's contact. "Request meal delivery."

"That's an option?"

"It wasn't before, but I think with your popularity, the chef will make an exception." Jian rubbed her nose and sent the message.

Almost instantly, the chef agreed to have his daughter deliver the food.

"Chu Ran, let me be your underling." Jian turned to look at Chu Ran with pleading eyes.

Chu Ran was opening her Light Brain to apply for a private training room. It wasn't a good time to appear in public recently. "Polite refusal."

"Ah, so cruel." Jian slumped down, hugging her knees pitifully. Such a pitiful dumpling.

Chu Ran was hard-hearted. Seeing the expensive credits for the private training room, she clicked confirm, but a window popped up.

"You are a special user of the training rooms. All training resources in the first three training institutes are free for you."

Chu Ran hummed, a slight smile curling at the corners of her mouth.
